Peace

We all seek peace on some level and in some form in order to live happier and fulfilled lives. Whether you seek the peace of mind that your children are safe or the peaceful resolution to the war in Iraq, there are many different ways in which we yearn for peace. OmniSearch seeks to play a role in this quest for peace by helping to educate, in part, the peacemakers and diplomats of tomorrow. Our goal is to educate children with an infusion of positive values and morals, the consequences of this will be adults who have the critical thinking skills and tact to pursue a peaceful resolution to their conflicts. These children will go on to lead altruistic, benevolent and righteous lives as adults that will enable them to withstand the negativity of the world in the forms of crime, gangs, depravity and religious extremism.

We believe that we can bring about significant change in the way children are educated and facilitate a harmonious and peaceful world. These children will learn the value of respect and goodwill for one another and the necessary means to bring justice for all of mankind. We live in a social climate based in fear and insecurity where social injustice and economic inequality is normal and almost inescapable. We believe that education is the key to opening a new world for your children in which they will have the information and skills to rationally deal with the different world crises and seek to avoid war and conflict.

Positive influences decreasing

Traditionally, most children usually learn social norms and values from observing and emulating their family, as well as from religious organizations and other positive influences. However, due to the high divorce rate or the necessity for both parents to work, children now often grow up without this positive parental influence. Instead, especially with the advance of technology, children are more often being influenced negatively by other sources, such as the sex and violence inherent both on the Internet and in video games, music, movies, TV, and magazines.

Negative influences increasing

Unfortunately in today’s world, children often spend more time with these negative sources of influence and less time with positive sources of influence. While these other sources do indeed expose children to a wider spectrum of knowledge than any generation before them, children are often not getting the proper reinforcement of morals & values through the traditional channels; in addition, schools may be providing academic training for children, but schools cannot take the place of families and religion in providing role models for proper morals & values.

We must present children with a new way of thinking that will make living in a peaceful world as natural as it is to live in a world that is filled with war and conflict. We have become complacent to the problems of the world and we must make sure that the next generation does not lose their humanity and succumb to the pressures of a negative world. There are many reasons for the continued violence in our world whether it is in response to direct violence, or socio-economic factors like malnutrition and political injustice, or the cultural and racial differences between us. But if we work together we can bring the world a long-term peace solution through a children’s education that promotes positive changes in the student and the world.
